A Holistic approach

I am a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider

What the heck does that mean? Mostly it means that you can talk to me about complementary and alternative medicine as it relates to mental health and wellness.

Just as talk therapy helps us relate your symptoms to the people around you, it is important to look at those symptoms in relation to your physical well-being which includes how sleep, digestion, nutrition, detox, and yoga play into your specific ailments.

Want to ditch the meds for a more natural approach?
I LOVE working with people to get off of traditional medication and onto vitamins and supplements instead! Depending on your needs and goals you may want to consider working with a naturopath or nutritionist. I am Happy to partner with any providers you are already working with as well as recommend providers if you don’t have one or feel your needs aren’t being met.

Above all, I want to make sure your whole self is being nurtured and that we are choosing interventions that will ultimately lead you to realization and fulfillment of your deepest desires.

Come in and talk face-to-face about what you are want and need.

We are a three-part being

The world may appear to be made up of dyads (up/down, left/right, here/there). But if you look closer, you will find it is actually made up of triads.

We are three-part beings: body/mind/spirit, who have come to the physical world to experience and recreate ourselves anew using our three creative processes: thought, word, and deed. This is, of course, incredibly simplistic, but I encourage you to look for yourself. Whenever you can, find the dyad; then see if you can go further, and find the triad.

I cannot work simply with your mind and ignore your body and spirit; often the body will not be ignored (think panic attacks and chronic ailments) and the spirit longs to be heard (think chronic depression and loneliness in a crowded room). I am not afraid to work with ALL of you, helping to ensure you are not just surviving but thriving in all areas of your life.

I do not impose my views on you, but gladly share some ideas I have heard along my journey. I was trained along with psychologists, so it was drilled into me to always cite my sources! Often I have sayings that I share as well as how I interpret them, and my clients and readers are free to do with them what they choose. Here are some examples:

Beliefs are like walls; questions are doors (author unknown)
Every act is an act of self-definition (Neale Donald Walsh-Conversations with God)

I also think pondering other questions is spiritual in nature, such as:

If you knew you were going to die, what would you do?
If money were no issue, what would you do?

Those types of questions and concerns seem to creep in no matter what the issue or background of the client. You will see that I am not forceful in any way, and yet I will not hinder any part of you from joining the session.
